The configuration settings for a module are read from non-volatile memory when the module powers up and placed in volatile memory. When you make changes to the configuration of the module, you can save them to volatile memory, non-volatile memory, or both. Changes saved to volatile memory will immediately affect the behavior of the module. Changes saved to non-volatile memory will not take effect until the module is power cycled.
When using SkyeWare, clicking the Apply button saves your changes to volatile memory. Clicking the Set Defaults button saves your changes to non-volatile memory.
When programming against the module, use the Write System Parameter command to write to volatile memory. Use the Store Default System Parameter coomand to write to non-volatile memory.
